Visualizing magnetic fields since 2016

The beginning

I was always fascinated by everything "invisible" and especially with magnets as they hold this magic power that can attract, repel and generate electricity.
I started experimenting with synthetic resin in 2015 and one of my first experiments was to entrap magnetic fields.
On the picture, you can see my first simple experiment of this kind. Ever since, I was trying to make something that will be practical and good looking.

Progress

Fast forward 6 years, I started to arrange magnetic fields into patterns resembling mandalas and pour resin with magnetic particles into the form over it.
This allowed me to 'visualize' and 'freeze' magnetic fields of various shapes.
However, making these was quite resource consuming and too small (15cm) to spark any real interest.

Visualizer

Another 2 years and many experiments later, I had the idea to fill a bowl with liquid mixed with magnetic particles.
That's how I made my Yuri's magnetic field visualizer.
After I placed magnetic field below it and waited for particles to settle, I could see some stunning views on how the magnet fields interact.

Going bigger

I wanted to create something that could be placed on display. Something, that would be worth sharing with the world and people can enjoy these views outside of my home or workshop.
So I made magnetic field mandala bigger and after a while, I had the idea to use the light to highlight the effect.

Want to see the artwork live?

As photos and videos can hardly capture the essence of these creations, I will make some exhibitions so you can see it live.
Dates will be posted on my instagram dedicated to design and art.
In case you want the display in the specific venue, feel free to contact me via form on the bottom of the page.
